01About these terms

These terms and conditions apply to your use of this website and to any vehicle or number plate you sell to us. By using the website or selling to us, you agree to be bound by them, together with our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the website or our services. We may update these terms from time to time; the version published on this page when you use our services is the version that applies.

These terms were written in English. If they are translated into Arabic or any other language and the two versions differ, the English version applies.

02Who we are

Car Buying Zone is a used-car buying business trading as Car Buying Zone, trade licence number AE123456, operating from 4th Street, Al Quoz Industrial 3, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

We buy vehicles for our own account. We are not a broker, an agent, an auction or a marketplace. We do not list your car for sale on your behalf, and there is no third-party seller or buyer involved in your transaction with us.

03Using this website

You may use this website to find information about our service and to send us details about your vehicle. You agree not to misuse it, interfere with it, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, extract data from it by automated means, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

We may restrict or withdraw access to the website, or any part of it, at any time.

04Valuations and offers

Any price range we give you online, by phone or on WhatsApp is an estimate, not an offer to buy. It is based only on what you have told us, and is provided to help you decide whether it is worth visiting us.

Before we buy a vehicle, we inspect it in person at our Al Quoz location. A car’s value depends on its history and condition, including features, modifications or damage that were not apparent from your description. The offer we make after that inspection may therefore differ from the earlier estimate.

An offer becomes a contract only when you sign our written purchase agreement. Until then, neither of us is committed. We may decline to make an offer on any vehicle, for any reason, at our discretion.

05What we assume before we see the car

When we give you an estimate before inspecting the vehicle, we assume the following unless you tell us otherwise. If any of these are not true, the estimate will change once we see the car — so it is always better to tell us upfront.

• It has no significant damage, inside, outside or mechanically.
• You have both sets of keys.
• It is GCC specification and not an import.
• It has never been written off by an insurer.
• It has not been used as a rental, driving-school, private-hire or emergency vehicle.
• It starts, drives and is not a non-runner.
• It shows fair wear and tear only — meaning average condition for its age and mileage.

06What you confirm to us

When you sell a vehicle or plate to us, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract.
• You are the registered owner, or you are properly authorised to sell on the owner’s behalf.
• Apart from any finance you have disclosed to us, no other party has a claim over the vehicle.
• The odometer reading is accurate and has not been tampered with.
• You have told us everything a careful buyer would want to know, including significant mechanical faults, accident damage and repairs.
• All information you have given us — for an estimate, at the inspection or otherwise — is true and accurate.
• The vehicle lawfully entered the United Arab Emirates and is not reported stolen.
• All outstanding traffic fines have been cleared, as the RTA will not transfer ownership otherwise.

If any of this turns out to be materially wrong, we may withdraw or adjust our offer before the sale is completed.

07Completing the sale

When you sell us your vehicle, you agree to hand over the keys, the registration card, the service history, the owner’s manuals and any accessories such as locking wheel-nut keys or remote controls.

Please remove all personal belongings from the vehicle before handing it over. We are not responsible for items left inside, and they may not be recoverable.

You also agree to co-operate promptly with the transfer and de-registration process. If the sale cannot be completed because documentation or authorisation is outstanding, you must collect your vehicle from our premises within a reasonable period after we ask you to. Storage charges may apply after that, and we will tell you what they are in advance.

08Vehicles with outstanding finance

If your car has a loan against it, we can settle the outstanding balance directly with your bank as part of the purchase, provided we receive a written settlement statement from your bank confirming the amount required to close the agreement in full.

• If our agreed price is higher than the settlement figure, we pay the bank and pay you the difference.
• If our agreed price is lower than the settlement figure, you must pay us the difference for the sale to complete.

Timing depends on your bank’s own processes, which are outside our control. Ownership cannot transfer until the loan is cleared and the bank releases the mortgage registered against the vehicle.

09Payment

Where the vehicle is owned outright and all documents are in order, payment is made during the same visit, once the sale is agreed and the paperwork is completed.

Payment is made to the registered owner. For higher-value vehicles, please contact us in advance so that the payment method can be agreed before you arrive. Where the vehicle has finance on it, payment follows the bank settlement described above.

10Ownership transfer

Ownership transfers through the RTA. Both parties must attend, and we complete this with you as part of the sale.

Until the transfer is registered, the vehicle remains in your name. Salik charges, fines and liability arising before the transfer remain your responsibility; anything arising afterwards becomes ours.

Contact your insurer once the transfer is complete to cancel or transfer your policy. Do not cancel your insurance before the transfer has gone through — the vehicle must remain covered until it legally leaves your name.

11Number plates

We also buy number plates separately from vehicles. Plates do not require a physical inspection, but they do require an ownership and clearance check before we can proceed.

Plate values move with the market, so an estimate given earlier may differ from the final offer. If you want to keep your plate when selling your car, tell us before the transfer is processed.

12Fees

We do not charge you a fee or commission to evaluate or buy your vehicle. There is no listing fee, no inspection fee, and nothing is deducted from the agreed amount.

You are never obliged to sell to us. If you decline our offer, you leave with your vehicle and nothing is payable.

13Website content and guidance

We try to keep the information on this website accurate and current, but errors may appear from time to time and we do not guarantee that it is complete or error-free. The website is provided on an “as is” basis.

Guidance on this site about RTA procedures, bank settlements, vehicle export or visa matters is general information only. It is not legal, financial or tax advice. Rules change and your circumstances may differ, so please confirm your own position with your bank, the RTA or a professional adviser.

Our website may link to other websites we do not operate. We are not responsible for their content, products, services or privacy practices.

14Intellectual property

The content of this website — including text, images, logos and design — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright. You may view and print pages for your own personal use, but you may not copy, reproduce, distribute or reuse our content commercially without our written permission.

Vehicle manufacturer names and logos are the property of their respective owners and are used here only to describe the vehicles we buy.

15Our liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of this website or from our purchase of your vehicle, including loss of profit, loss of business, loss of anticipated savings or loss of data.

We are also not liable for any failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, fire, flood, severe weather, civil disturbance, or the processing times of banks and government authorities.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it cannot lawfully be limited.

16Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai.

17General

If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that part is removed and the rest continues to apply.

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and us about your use of this website and any sale to us. Nothing in them creates a partnership, agency or employment relationship between us.
