01Who we are

Car Buying Zone is a used-car buying business operating from Al Quoz Industrial 3 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We buy cars and number plates directly from their owners and pay in cash. We are the buyer — we are not a marketplace, a listings site or an intermediary between you and someone else.

In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Car Buying Zone, trade licence number AE123456. "You" and "your" mean anyone who contacts us, uses our website, or sells us a vehicle or plate.

By using our website or our services, you agree to this policy. The information we collect is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.

This policy was written in English. If it is translated into Arabic or any other language and the two versions differ, the English version applies.

02What information we collect

Details you give us

• Contact details — your name, phone number and, if you send one, your email address.
• Vehicle details — make, model, year, mileage, specification, condition, service history and any photos you send us. For a plate, the number and code.
• Documents needed to complete a sale — your Emirates ID, the vehicle registration card (Mulkiya) and, for a company vehicle, the trade licence and authorisation documents.
• Finance details — if your car has an outstanding loan, the name of your bank, your loan account details and any settlement or liability letter, so that we can clear the loan on your behalf.

Information collected automatically

When you visit our website we collect basic technical information such as your device type, browser, approximate location and which pages you viewed. This is standard website analytics and does not identify you personally.

03How we collect it

• Directly from you — when you message us on WhatsApp, call us, fill in a form on our website, or visit us in person.
• Automatically — through cookies and similar technology when you browse our website.
• From official sources — such as vehicle records, where this is needed to verify ownership or complete a transfer.

04Why we use your information

We use it only for the reasons below:

• To give you a price range for your car and answer your questions.
• To evaluate your vehicle in person and make you an offer.
• To complete the purchase, including the transfer of ownership at the RTA and, where applicable, settling your outstanding car loan with your bank.
• To keep records of the transaction as required by UAE law.
• To improve our website and our service.

We will only send you marketing messages if you have agreed to receive them. You can tell us to stop at any time and we will.

05Calls, WhatsApp and messages

Most people contact us on WhatsApp. When you message us we can see your phone number, your WhatsApp profile name and the content of your messages, including any photos. We keep those conversations so we can follow up on your enquiry and refer back to what was discussed.

Calls may be recorded for quality and record-keeping. If you would rather we did not record your call, tell us at the start and we will not.

WhatsApp is operated by a third party, and your use of it is also subject to their own terms and privacy policy.

06Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not pass your details to other car buyers, dealers or advertisers as sales leads.

We share information only where it is necessary:

• Government authorities — such as the RTA, to register the transfer of ownership.
• Your bank — where your car has finance on it and you have asked us to settle the loan.
• Service providers — such as our website host, IT support and accountants, who act on our instructions and only for the purpose we give them.
• Legal and regulatory bodies — where we are required to do so by law, to comply with legal process, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

07Cookies

Our website uses cookies — small files stored on your device — to help the site work properly and to understand how visitors use it. Some are necessary for the site to function; others help us measure traffic and improve the pages.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.

08How long we keep your information

If you enquire but do not sell us your car, we keep your enquiry for a reasonable period in case you come back to us, and then delete it.

If you do sell us your car, we keep the transaction records for as long as UAE law requires, because the sale and the ownership transfer are legal transactions we may need to evidence later.

09Keeping your information safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, and we limit access to the people who need it to do their job.

No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted online — but we treat the responsibility seriously.

10Your rights

Under applicable UAE data protection law, you can ask us to:

• Tell you what information we hold about you.
• Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
• Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it.
• Stop sending you marketing messages.

11Children

Our service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their details, please contact us and we will delete them.

12Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date at the top of this page, and the updated version applies from the moment it is published. Please check back occasionally.
